Slime making in Year 3 and 4
Year 3 and 4 investigated what slime is and how to make it. The question was, is slime a liquid or a solid? They found that slime is a non-Newtonian liquid, which means that the viscosity, or resistance, of the liquid changes as you apply a stronger force. If you rest your hand on the surface of slime it will sink in, but if you smack it, the surface is solid. The class had an amazing time and this really stretched their scientific thinking.
