Perform for Schools Workshop

To celebrate ‘Book week’ this year, we have organised the ‘Perform for schools’ company to come to our school and run exciting workshops with each class. The workshops used children’s natural love of drama, role play and improvi-sation to spark their imaginations and stimulate their interest in Literacy. Each year group took part in a workshop linked to a book.

EYFS- The enormous turnip, Yr 1 and 2- Chocolate cake, Yr 3 and 4- Georges marvellous medicine and Yr 5 and 6- King Kong. The children immersed themselves into the experience and had a wonderful time acting and performing together. It was great to see confidence growing amongst many children who do not usually like to perform in front of others.
