PCSO Visit
The children had the wonderful opportunity to meet local PCSOs and a police sergeant, who visited the school to speak with them about road safety, staying safe around people they do not know, and how to make safe choices when using the internet.
During Safety Week, the children learned about:
Online Safety: How to navigate the digital world responsibly, recognise potential risks and know what to do if something makes them feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
Fire Safety: How to help prevent fires and what to do to stay safe in the event of a fire.
Stranger Awareness: Understanding how to respond safely when approached by someone they do not know and the importance of seeking help from a trusted adult.
Road Safety: Learning the rules of the road and how to make safe choices when walking, cycling or travelling.
Trusted Adults: Recognising the adults they can turn to for help, support and guidance.
It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic throughout the week. We hope that the knowledge and skills they have gained will help them make safe, confident choices every day.
