Eid celebrations at Buttercup

We celebrated Eid together as a school community. The children wore their best clothes and brought in delicious food to share with their classes. We all had a great afternoon full of friendship, happiness and unity!

Hobgoblin theatre production at Buttercup

We ended Book Week with a bang by inviting the Hobgoblin theatre company to perform the stories,  ‘Jack and the beanstalk’  and  ‘Alice in wonderland’ to the whole school. The stories were based around  story telling and empathising with characters. These interactive shows were enjoyed by all and kept everyone entertained and mesmerised!

Pyjama day at Buttercup!

This year our theme for Book week was ’Bedtime stories’. Children bought in their favourite bedtime stories to share with their class. To end the week, we invited all  the children and staff to be super snug, by coming into school in their pyjamas!

The children were encouraged to bring a used book from home that they have read and enjoyed to exchange with other members of their class. This way children got to take home a new book to read and enjoy, but without paying for it!
