Young Writers Award

A very big congratulations to Mehak in Year 5 and Saira in Year 6 for winning the ‘Young writers’ competition and getting their stories published in the ‘Crazy creatures-London’ book. The mini sagas were entered into the competition by their teacher and the stories were chosen out of hundreds of entries. The stories were selected based on the children’s expressions of imagination, use of language and creativity. We are very proud of our students and hope they continue to flourish in their writing.

Science week

Alhumdulillah Science Week was a great success! Over the week, the children learned about the different aspects of Chemistry, Biology and Physics. They took part in different experiments and have had so much fun learning new ideas. Dressing up day was also a great success. We had doctors, astronauts, nurses, mad scientists, planets and even a test tube coming into school! Thank you for helping your children use their imaginations to design and make their wonderful costumes!

Victorian lesson-Freshwater theatre company Yr 3 and 4

As part of Year 3 and 4’s topic work on the Victorians , the Freshwaters theatre company were invited to run a Victorian classroom session. The students were transported back to 1899 and were given a lesson they would never forget as the strict Victorian schoolteacher assessed handwriting, drill and arithmetic through role play of course!
