Science Week in Year 1 and 2
For Science Week KS1 conducted a coloured flower experiment. The aim of this experiment was to explore how water is transferred through the plant. This experiment demonstrated how plants transport water up the stem via the xylem, to reach the leaves and petals. Throughout the week we observed how long it took for the bright white flowers to change colour after adding non-toxic food colouring to the water.
We also studied how Allah SWT mentions in the Quran ‘We made every living being out of water’”. By relating this to our experiment we understood the significant role water plays by Allah’s will and how essential it is for living beings.
