Partner reading  around the school

The Year 3 and 4 children went down to the Year 1 and 2 class and the Year 5 and 6 children went down to the children in EYFS and spent time reading to them. The Year 1 and 2 children also got the opportunity to read to the older children. It was encouraging to see how well the Year 3 and 4 children listened and supported the younger children which really boosted their confidence in reading. The children in Nursey and Reception chose a book that they wanted the older children to read to them. It was inspiring to see how well the Year 5 and 6 children shared the books with the younger children. They demonstrated patience and kindness and it was a pleasure to witness.
