Visit to the Globe Theatre

Children at Buttercup have immersed themselves into the language of Shakespeare through his story of King Lear and embracing the true beauty of literature.
During this learning process children gained a deeper understanding of family dynamics and also concepts such as the significance of inheritancein Islam ;the concept of dowry and kingship. Children re-wrote the play scripts with thier own plots and also visited the globe theatre, which contextualised their learning and deep end thier understanding of the the time in which Shakespeare wrote.
Children indulged in a question and answer session asking about Shakespeare life. The guide was very impressed by Buttercup. We then had a tour of the theatre and the children were amazed at the open theatre setting.
