Book Week

We are thrilled to share the wonderful experiences we had during Book Week, which kicked off with great enthusiasm! The ‘Perform for Schools’ company ignited the week by running engaging drama workshops, allowing our children to explore their creativity and express themselves through performance.

Throughout the week, our dedicated teachers took the time to share their favorite books, sparking excitement and fostering a love for reading among our students. We also organised a ‘Book swap day’, where children exchanged books they’ve already read for new stories to explore at home. It was delightful to see the children so excited about their new selections!

Our very own book sale provided fantastic opportunities for students to purchase quality books at discounted rates, ensuring they could add to their personal libraries without breaking the bank. In a heartwarming display of community, our Year 5/6 students read with our EYFS children, while Year 3/4 paired up with Year 1/2 to foster a love of reading across the ages.

We wrapped up the week with a fantastic dressing-up day, where students came to school dressed as their favorite book characters, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm for storytelling.

Overall, it was a successful Book Week filled with excitement, camaraderie, and, most importantly, a celebration of reading! Thank you for supporting our initiatives and encouraging your children to engage with literature.
